Born and raised in central Texas I got my start in pottery while attending Texas Tech University in the late sixties. With a degree in Art and a determination to produce functional pottery, I started my first studio in Austin, Texas. Since 1979 my studio has been in the Dallas area.
My interest and affection for Texas, it's native inhabitants and their history, led me into Buckskinning. It was an easy and natural step for me to combine my profession with my reenactment activities.
At this time, I produce pottery for not only reenactors across the USA, but also for museums, national park trade stores, living history associations, and a dozen or more traders dealing with living history.
It is both my pleasure and my good fortune to be associated with such a fine group, as those involved in historical reenactment. Thank you for many years of support and friendship.
Your Most humble Servant, Steve Sprinkle
